Your own business
whoever employs themselves lifts the country off the State's back
Proposes creating Minha Primeira Empresa, with less red tape, training through Sistema S and credit from CAIXA, and supporting the internationalization of small and medium-sized businesses via BNDES and Apex-Brasil.
What the program says
Millions of Brazilians do not want a job: they want their own business. They are the ones who generate most of the jobs in the country, and they are the ones the State gets in the way of the most, with red tape, taxes and a lack of credit. And many of them are young people, who would rather employ themselves than wait for their first job opening. For those just starting out, we will create “Minha Primeira Empresa” (“My First Company”): less red tape to open and formalize the business, training and guidance through Sistema S (the employer-funded training and business-support network), so that entrepreneurs learn to manage what they have created, and a pipeline of credit and services from CAIXA (Caixa Econômica Federal, the federal savings bank) within their reach, accompanying them from the first visit to the counter to the first revenue. We will support small businesses with credit to start up and guidance, through the CAIXA network, and support the internationalization of small and medium-sized businesses via BNDES (the national development bank) and Apex-Brasil (the trade and investment promotion agency), so that Brazilian products reach further. Added to the reduction of taxes on production that this plan advocates and to “Brasil sem Fila” (“Brazil without Queues”), which cuts the red tape of opening and running a company, there is a single message: whoever wants to start a business will find in the State a partner, not an obstacle. [p. 45, 46]
In plain language

- It proposes supporting the internationalization of small and medium-sized businesses through BNDES and Apex-Brasil.
